ॐ नमः शिवाय · Śaiva Sannyāsa Paramparā

The unbroken stream of Śiva's wisdom,
held in a living hand.

चिदानन्दरूपः शिवोऽहं शिवोऽहम् ॥

"I am Śiva, whose form is consciousness and bliss." — Ādi Śaṅkarācārya, Nirvāṇa Ṣaṭkam

Swami Charanashrit Giri is a sannyāsī of the Daśanāmī order, initiated in the Śrī Pañcadaśanāma Jūnā Akhāḍā — the oldest and largest akhāḍā of the Śaiva sannyāsa tradition. Here the great stream flows in one place: the parampara of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya, the Nāga heritage of the Jūnā Akhāḍā, the Trika of Kashmir Śaivism, and the breath-science of Swara Yoga — with scriptures, public practices, guided meditations and personal guidance.

The Lineage

Three streams, one Gaṅgā

The sannyāsa order of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya, the warrior-ascetic heritage of the Jūnā Akhāḍā, and the non-dual recognition of Kashmir Śaivism — held together in one living parampara.

दशनामी संन्यास

Daśanāmī Sannyāsa

Ādi Śaṅkarācārya organised the renunciate orders into ten names — Giri, Purī, Bhāratī, Sarasvatī and the rest — anchored to the four Āmnāya Maṭhas. The Giri name walks the mountain path of tapas.
